Cartelier Experiences ("we", "us", "our") has its registered address at D-254, Sarvodaya Enclave, Delhi 110017, India, its office at Cowrks, Worldmark 01, Aerocity, New Delhi 110037, India, and an office at Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We design private, bespoke journeys, and this requires us to know you well. We collect only what we need, use it only to plan and deliver your journeys, and never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (cartelierexperiences.com), our conversations with you by phone, email, WhatsApp or in person, and the journeys we arrange.
What we collect
- About you and your travelling companions: name, contact details, date of birth, nationality, and passport, visaand travel insurance details where a booking needs them.
- About your journey: destinations, dates, preferences, occasions, hotel and experience choices, and your bookinghistory with us.
- Sensitive details, only when you choose to share them: health, mobility or allergy information, and dietaryrequirements, which may indicate religious beliefs. We use these only to make your journey safe and comfortable.
- Payment details, processed through regulated payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Website information: IP address, device, browser and pages visited, through cookies (see section 7).
Why we use it
- To plan, book and deliver your journey, including flights, hotels, transfers and experiences.
- To communicate with you about your enquiries and bookings, before, during and after travel.
- To personalise future recommendations to your tastes.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations, and to prevent fraud.
- To send you news and offers, only with your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- To protect your vital interests in an emergency, for example by sharing details with medical providers.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, or where the law otherwise permits, such as fulfilling yourbooking or complying with law.
Who we share it with
We share only what each party needs to deliver your journey:
- Travel suppliers: airlines, hotels, villas, yachts, ground handlers and destination partners, in India and abroad.
- Service providers working on our behalf: payment processors, IT, cloud hosting and communication tools,bound by confidentiality.
- Authorities: immigration, customs or law enforcement, where the law requires it.
- A successor business, if Cartelier Experiences is merged or acquired, under the same protections.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Suppliers may not use it for their own marketing.
Transfers outside India
Your journeys take you abroad, so your details will be shared with suppliers in the countries you visit, and between ouroffices in India and Dubai to plan and service your journey. We transfer data only as Indian law permits, and only to theextent needed for your journey.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you are our client and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
After that we delete or anonymise it. Passport and payment details are not kept beyond what the booking and the law
require.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards: encrypted connections, restricted access on a need to know basis, and trusted
service providers. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the
law requires.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to function properly and to understand how it is used. You can manage or disable cookies in
your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.
Your rights
We share only what each party needs to deliver your journey:Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- correct, complete or update it
- ask us to erase it, subject to legal retention requirements
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf
- raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@cartelierexperiences.com. We will respond within the time the lawrequires.
Children
We collect a child's personal data (under 18) only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and only to plan the
family's travel.
Links to other websites
Our website may link to hotels, partners and other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
